Product Manager Business Development (m/f/d)

At ModuleWorks we develop software components for the CAD/CAM industry, which are used to control and simulate CNC machines and robots. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Product Manager (m/f/d).

Your profile:

  • Completed engineering studies (ideally specializing in manufacturing technology).
  • Knowledge of:
    • CAD/CAM applications
    • Machine tools or robotics
    • Product management
  • Experience with software development projects
  • Comfortable working with customers
  • Very good English and German skills

Your tasks

You will be working in our Digital Manufacturing business area which drives our product strategy and portfolio based on market and customer requirements. This means you will be working closely with customers to understand their product and market requirements and communicate this to our product division.

As a Product Manager in Digital Manufacturing, you will have the following roles:

Technical Account Management

This role is directly connected to customer-focused product management. It is business-related, making sure the customer knows about our latest products and recognizing opportunities to draw the customer’s attention to other ModuleWorks products. It is a proactive role that includes fostering a successful working relationship and ensuring no issues are escalated by the customer. You will also oversee the integration of our software products and make sure that discussions and agreements about product development are properly considered in our product roadmaps. You will also work closely together with our sales department.

Project management/consulting

We have new projects starting soon in which Product Managers will take on a consulting role, contributing their process know-how and sometimes taking on project management and organizational duties.


Pre-sales activities are a fundamental part of the job. This involves creating and giving demonstrations to prospects as well as contributing to the creation of relevant marketing material. Most of the customer demos take place online, but the Product Manager is also expected to visit customers on-site and attend various exhibitions throughout the year.
