The aim of the DPP²project is to develop an integrated process chain based on procedural structures for laser ablation and Selective Laser Melting (SLM). As part of the project, ModuleWorks is developing a specialized CAM process that incorporates the special requirements of laser structuring of surfaces. Highly detailed laser structuring is not feasible in CAx systems because of its complexity. Therefore, this project will develop surface definitions to describe them in a parametric and procedural manner.
