Research

ModuleWorks is involved in active research projects to extend the range of applications for the ModuleWorks technology.

We cooperate with worldwide academic research partners, including Fraunhofer IPT (Aachen, Germany), Technion University (Haifa, Israel), University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada) and TU-Wien (Vienna, Austria). The goal of our research is to extend the CAX chain to processes which are new (Additive Laser manufacturing) or too specialized (optics and ultra-precision manufacturing) to be already part of the standard software. We support users of these technologies by giving them access to state of the art CAM libraries in the CAX package of their choice. Integrating the required interfaces directly into the ModuleWorks libraries speeds up the transfer of new processes from academia to industry.

For over 10 years, ModuleWorks has been involved in active research, with more than 10 national and internationally publicly funded projects involving many kinds of partnerships. The ModuleWorks team consists of experienced researchers from numerous disciplines including engineers, mathematicians, and scientists.
