On the ModuleWorks stand at EMO will be a demonstration of real-time collision avoidance running on the Fanuc controller. This technology will be available to any machine tool company using Fanuc controls.<\/p>\n

The collision avoidance takes into account the entire machine environment, including machine elements such as the table and spindles, set-up elements such as clamps and fixtures, and job elements such as the in-process stock and tools.<\/p>\n

The simulation and collision checking is available in all controlled modes, including Jog mode, and can even be used for a dry-run to validate the NC program before machining.<\/p>\n

In addition, the simulation may be connected to Fanuc\u2019s virtual control software, NC Guide, to allow offline simulation during the design or programming stage.<\/p>\n
