Users enter the spline distance and the minimum detection angle. The smoothing distance is automatically adjusted to avoid collisions with adjacent slices.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>Contouring<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.moduleworks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Contouring.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.moduleworks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Contouring-300x101.png\" alt=\"Contouring\" width=\"300\" height=\"101\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-9521\"><\/a><br \/>\nThe new contouring feature is a highly automated and efficient way of creating edge trimming operations on thin workpieces.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>Barrel section &amp; double barrel tool<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.moduleworks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/barrel-section.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.moduleworks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/barrel-section-300x132.png\" alt=\"barrel section\" width=\"300\" height=\"132\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-9520\"><\/a><br \/>\nThe barrel tools have a circular section on the tool flank. A new feature enables users to define the center of the circular section for creating asymmetric shapes. As well as specifying the radius of the circular section, users can enter an upper and lower blending radius.<br \/>\nThe double barrel tool has a second circular section on the front, enabling wall and floor machining without changing the tool.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>3-Axis Machining<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Bullnose and sphere tools now support adaptive roughing <\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.moduleworks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/3axis1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.moduleworks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/3axis1-300x223.jpg\" alt=\"3axis\" width=\"300\" height=\"223\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-9549\"><\/a><br \/>\nTo improve the quality of toolpaths, the corner radius of the tool is now taken into consideration when generating the adaptive roughing toolpath. This results in fewer cusps in the final toolpath.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Machine Simulation<\/h3>\n<p><strong>New machine coordinate system<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.moduleworks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/new-machinecoordinate-system.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.moduleworks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/new-machinecoordinate-system-300x162.png\" alt=\"new machinecoordinate system\" width=\"300\" height=\"162\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-9523\"><\/a>A new machine coordinate system has been added to the Machine Simulator interface. The coordinate system is based on the machine definition and uses an internal detection algorithm for the main machine axis.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>MultiXPost Kinematic Solver<\/h3>\n<p><strong>New advanced settings for retract &amp; rewind<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.moduleworks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/MultiXPost-Kinematic-Solver.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.moduleworks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/MultiXPost-Kinematic-Solver-300x231.png\" alt=\"MultiXPost Kinematic Solver\" width=\"300\" height=\"231\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-9524\"><\/a>The new <i>Retract and Rewind Advanced Settings <\/i>dialog provides enhanced control over all available functionalities.<br \/>\nThe new <i>Multi-Step Retract<\/i> provides greater flexibility and control over retracting movements. Users can now retract events in a single step or in two steps.
