Details CAdent focuses on optimizing the process chain for dental implantology. Dental implantology is a very complex and risky treatment as the patients nerve can be harmed. Aim of this project is to ease the threatment for the dentist by using drill templates. The project focuses on reducing the time for the medical threatment for the patient on the one hand and on reducing the costs for the implant production on the other hand. Reduction of production costs becomes more and more important to ensure the market position of german vendors in the global market. In this project a novel table-top 5-Axis machine and toolpath strategies to reduce the production time have been developed, enabling the use of a drill template to optimze the medical threatment.
