To strengthen our team in Aachen, we’re looking for a Senior Team Lead IT to join us as soon as possible.
The Role:
- Lead & develop. Provide technical and organizational leadership to the IT team (3 direct reports; one of them leads a team of 7 indirect reports)
- From strategy to execution. Design, implement, and continuously evolve our IT strategy for a globally connected company – with a tangible hands-on share
- Operations & security. Steer and optimize IT infrastructure and IT security with a strong focus on stability and scalable standards
- Executive transparency. Define and track meaningful KPIs and produce management reports for the executive team
- Processes & compliance. Own IT processes, governance, and compliance – pragmatic and audit-ready
- International projects. Lead and deliver cross-site IT projects (e.g., site expansions, firewalls, VPNs) from design through rollout
- Services & systems. Build and run strategic IT services and systems with a focus on availability, security, and cost transparency
- Sourcing & contracts. Own IT procurement, licensing, and SaaS contracts, including vendor management
- Elevate support. Professionalize 1st and 2nd level support (processes, tools, SLAs)
What You Bring:
- Leadership experience in a comparable IT management role – ideally in a mid-sized environment with a personal hands-on component
- Broad IT toolkit: strategy, infrastructure, security, and support – you contribute across the spectrum, from concept to rock-solid delivery
- International project experience, including cross-site collaboration
- Fluency with KPIs, process management, governance, and compliance – always with an eye for improvement opportunities
- Technology foundation: cloud services, networking, and IT architecture; comfortable with standardization and security best practices
- Impactful communication & ownership: you set clear priorities, make decisions, and bring people along
- Working language is English. You’ll collaborate daily with colleagues from multiple countries and a mostly German-speaking team based in Aachen
