To strengthen our team in Aachen, we are looking for you to join as soon as possible – ideally for about 19 hours per week – as a Working Student (f/m/d).
The Position
As part of our development team, you will work on innovative solutions in the field of additive and hybrid manufacturing technologies. Your responsibilities include:
- Define features. Specify new functions for toolpath calculation.
- Test for reality. Validate features (application tests, machine integration).
- Workshops & support. Support customer workshops and provide technical support.
- Extend post-processors. Enhance NC post-processors for new features.
- Verify concepts. Validate machine concepts using machine simulation.
- Join projects. Contribute directly to ongoing customer projects.
- Build parsers. Develop parsers for our post-processor framework.
Your Profile
- Enrolled: Computer Science, Physics, Manufacturing Technology, MATSE or similar.
- 3D printing: good knowledge and a basic understanding of additive manufacturing processes
- CAD-savvy: Experience with Siemens NX, CATIA or Rhinoceros.
- Code skills: OOP in Python, C++ or C#.
- Compiler basics: Language design/DSLs/grammars are a plus; initial parser experience (e.g., ANTLR) is welcome.
- Git on board: Comfortable with version control.
- Manufacturing & metrology: Basic understanding of hybrid manufacturing; modern measurement systems (e.g., laser scanners).
- NC practice: Experience with process setup and NC programming is an advantage.
- Working language is English: You’ll collaborate daily with colleagues from various countries and with a mostly German-speaking team based in Aachen.
